After my USAF training, I moved to the beautiful Monterey Peninsula, and I worked as a nurse at the Monterey County Jail and Juvenile Hall for 13+ years. Simultaneously, my husband’s garage door business was expanding, and he needed some office help. I started working for him (part-time) and kept my full-time nursing job. Working in the home-improvement field, began my interest in real estate. During the five years I spent working with my husband, I obtained a specialty contractor’s license and worked towards getting my real estate license. Once I obtained my real estate license, I quit nursing as well as the garage door business, and jumped into real estate with both feet.
